Our Coffee Types

Guji coffee is available in both washed and natural varieties. It is grown in the Oromia region of southern Ethiopia, at elevations ranging from 1,800 to 2,200 meters above sea level. Recognized as a distinct origin from Sidama and Yirgacheffe, Guji has built a reputation for unique terroir and vibrant cup quality.

The best Guji coffees are known for their lively fruit notes, floral aromatics, and sparkling acidity. Flavor profiles often include stone fruits, berries, citrus, and occasionally wine-like undertones, supported by a smooth and juicy mouthfeel. Natural processed Guji coffees are especially prized for their syrupy sweetness and layered complexity, while washed Guji lots are typically clean, bright, and elegant.

Many roasters are drawn to the distinctive and versatile flavor profile of Guji coffees and are willing to pay a premium for exceptional lots. While both washed and natural coffees are produced, washed processing remains widespread, with naturals gaining popularity for their expressive and adventurous character.

Yirgachfe coffee is available in both washed and natural varieties. It also includes Kochere coffee, which is well-known for its high quality and is favored by many of our clients. Yirgachefe is a well-known and well-recognized coffee brand around the world. It is a highland coffee with a strong flavor known as flora. The best Yirgacheffe coffees have a lot in common with the best Sidama coffees. Fruit notes, sharp acidity, and a smooth mouthfeel distinguish this wine. It has a pleasant acidity and a full body. Many roasters are drawn to the delicate and fruity flavor of this coffee and are ready to pay a premium for it. Although some naturals are produced, the majority of the coffees produced here are washed processed.

The region of Nekempti, sometimes known as Lekempti, is located in the state of Welle- ga. This coffee is commonly referred to as “Lekempti,” a trade name for Western Ethiopi- an coffees handled through the city of Nekempte, despite the fact that it comes from East Wollega, It is a natural sun-dried bean grown in western Ethiopia. The coffee is distinguished by its enormous bean size, and the flavor might have a strong perfume-like aftertaste.

Harrar coffees are known for having a fruity flavor and a creamy texture. Yokef offers quality Harrar coffees with a characteristic blueberry aftertaste. Other fruity and fruit-like aromatic notes can be found in Harrar coffee. It features medium-sized beans with a greenish-yellow color, a robust body, mild acidity, and a unique mocha flavor. The largest basket of unwashed coffees, consisting of all unwashed coffee pro- duced in Ethiopia’s south western area. There are many different indigenous cultivars in the area, all of which might be of varying quality. Many cuppers classify Kaffa washed coffee with Borena area coffee, but others connect it to neighboring Limu coffee because of its distinct flavor and bean appearance. It grows between 1,400 and 2,100 m.a.s.l.
